Win a chance to see The Rapture with VICE magazine’s NOISEY.
NYC trio The Rapture are in London on the 12th December for the latest in Noisey’s Special Engagements series (put together with the help of Dell and Intel).
You can stream the gig here, where you can interact with the band as they perform – impatiently demanding they do backflips while playing your favourite track for the eighteenth time in a row, if you so wish. It’s interactive; it’s music 2.0; it’s the future.
However, if you fancy a change from naked air guitaring in the privacy of your own home, you can not only physically go to the show but also hang out with The Rapture afterwards, all thanks to Noisey and this incredibly (overly) generous competition.
Simply email ukcompetitions@vice.com stating why The Rapture are your favourite band in order to enter. If you win, you could spend the evening with them.
GOOD LUCK.

Palladium Tokyo Rising Series.
Palladium have created a beautifully shot 5 part mini documentary series featuring Pharrell Williams and his visit to Tokyo post 3/11 named ‘Tokyo Rising’. The series explores the creative forces that have been a constant source of inspiration for the musician throughout his many projects and we see the architecture, fellow musicians, artists and the parts of the city itself that have been an inspiration as well as an insight into all the hidden gems Tokyo has to offer.
Pharrell has been a great supporter of relief efforts for the Japanese citizens affected by the incidents of 3/11 and he jumped at the chance to visit the metropolis that has had such an impact upon him as an artist and as an individual as this beloved city faces a new reality after the tragedy of 3/11.
While persistent challenges still lay ahead, the city’s creative class is hell-bent on making sure that their hometown thrives. Innovative and resilient, they are defining the future of Tokyo on their own terms.

Puma After Hours Athletes London Party.
Whilst we often claim to be great at almost every sport, the realisation is, we actually aren’t. Unless you take in consideration ping pong, darts or pool then we are all top of our game right?
Sportsmen of these disciplines needn’t calorie count, worry about fitness training or hydration levels, unless its a case of who’s round it is next. No, these sports are for the after hours athlete and something PUMA wish to celebrate people who are active socially, not just athletically - the only time we run is to catch a cab home.
As part of a global campaign to promote their new category of footwear, the sports and lifestyle brand are holding a party at East London’s, Queen of Hoxton with VICE on June 14. Claiming free entry, free drinks, free food, some amazing bands and games it makes perfect sense to head on down and discuss the finer points of the no 360-spin rule for table football or how it takes just as much effort to score a phone number as it does to score a goal. Why not go just to practice your victory dance.
To get involved you need to sign up here. To check out all the event details go to the Facebook event page here.
There’s also a load of free stuff to win. Just enter photos of you and your ‘team’ out on the tiles, living and breathing the After Hours spirit here to have a chance of winning £500, PUMA gear, and have your photo recreated in VICE Magazine.
Check out the promo video accompanying the campaign here and head to www.puma.com/social for more details.

G-Star RAW’s Guide To New York Night Life.

Another instalment from VICE Film’s partnership with the Dutch designer clothing company G-Star sees them create this short called ‘Hidden New York’. The documentary hosted by journalist Kim Taylor-Bennett follows her on her mission to meet the sort of New York fashion industry people for whom fashion is as much about dancefloors as it is catwalks.

The New York insiders include top door girl Lyz Olko, VICE Fashion Editor Annette Lamothe Ramos, photographer John McSwain, journalist Karley Sciortino and DJ Becka Diamond. These people live and breathe New York and inspire trends almost as often as they document them.

Impossible Missions At Coachella.

As part of the Vice creative partnership with Coachella, The Creators Project have commissioned several artistic collaborations between some of today’s foremost musical and creative talents.

Their task was to conceive of new audiovisual experiences to enhance and re-imagine musical performance, creating new ways of interacting with and enjoying the musical art form. In addition to working with bands like Interpol for the project, we’ve teamed up with J. Spaceman from Spiritualized—a band who have been soundtracking Glastonbury for two decades—and UK filmmaker Jonathan Glazer on a major new interactive installation that will be unveiled on the Coachella festival grounds.

The duo are creating a physical manifestation of the Spiritualized track “Ladies and Gentlemen, We Are Floating in Space.” In a cathedral-like space, designed by Graft Architects, isolated pools of light will appear, each containing a different component of the original track.

Check out the brief trailer giving you a taste of what’s in store at Coachella, but watch this space for Part 1 of their mini-documentary on Glazer and Spiritualized’s creative process, coming soon.
