Peter Brings the Shadow to Life.

The title of this video created by Joe Pease comes from the essay, Shades of a Shadow - Symbolism in J.M. Barrie’s Peter Pan, an article containing paragraphs such as, “It is not uncommon for children to play with their shadows or to imagine that they are tangible. However, in order to grow up, children must leave behind this fantasy…no one ever fully grows up. Instead, growing up is a process that continues throughout life.”

Yes, it may just be a bunch of shadows, but hell - sure looks like a lot of fun, particularly when backed by the music of Nick Cave and Warren Ellis.

What do you think?

First Look: Andre 3000 as Jimi Hendrix.
The Outkast star, who’s real name is Andre Benjamin has been spotted on set of the new Jimi Hendrix biopic, All Is By My Side.
The film focuses around the period of Hendrix’s career breakthrough ahead of his 1967 release, ‘Are You Experienced?’ a record widely considered one of the greatest ever rock albums.
He certainly does look the part.

The event is set to showcase a range of imaginative creature illustrations at the BoxPark Gallery, with the limited edition first prints available on launch night, and the exhibition itself running through to June 14 with all proceeds going to Art Against Knives.
The collaboration which led to exhibition is down to the passion and creativity of two people; James Newport and Jenny Hemsley, employees of BD.
Jenny’s brother-in-law Oliver Hemsley’s stabbing was to trigger the creation of the charity and her interest in their good work since it began in 2008 initiated her interest in combining the two forces.
The designer behind the prints for the exhibition is BD Creative James Newport, who began creating the creatures independently. After chatting to Jenny he soon released his creatures could help for the eventual formation of The Creatures Exhibition.
Katy Dawe, founder of Art Against Kinves explains, “We are incredibly fortunate to have the support of BD, who share our belief in the importance of providing platforms to support local young creative talent. The collaboration has allowed us to facilitate sustainable opportunities and create professional relationships between young people and the creative industries on their doorstep.”
